How do we meet?

At Multiply Movements we gather together weekly. We see in Acts chapter 2 that the church was meeting in the temple and from house to house. We gather in homes, cafes, schools and parks in both smaller and larger groups.

Disciple Making Churches

DMC’s are  An extended spiritual family of disciple makers, led by ordinary people, who continues the mission of Jesus here on earth. Their makeup can be formed from:

Disciple Making Churches are healthy when they have an equal focus on all three areas of Worship, Community & Mission.

The location of a Disciple Making Church could vary from someone’s home to a park or a coffee shop. Sunday morning works for some, while others will prefer to meet on Saturday afternoon or Tuesday night. The model is flexible to suit the needs of the group.

We encourage every believer to be connected to and regularly participating in a Disciple Making Church. The Disciple Making Church is the place where we can see Acts 2:42-47 outworked and multiplication strategies and discipleship take place.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Acts 2:36-47 provides us with a simple framework for the expressed elements of a Disciple Making Church. Disciple Making Churches are healthy when they have an equal focus on all areas. Through the coaching process we will help all of our Disciple Making Church leaders to develop and grow across these areas.

In Micro churches, believers have the time to pray for each other, study the word together and ask questions. Pastoral care takes place firstly in the Micro-Church, not by a designated pastor. The believers meet each other’s needs and are aware of what each member is going through.

For example, people within the Micro Church can help each other move house, cook meals when one member is sick and take up financial offerings for each other.

Regional Hub Gatherings

We love and value coming together for our monthly Regional Hub  Gatherings where we can worship and celebrate the testimonies of what God has been doing. These gatherings are an incredible opportunity to reach out to others in the park with the Gospel message.

Bring a chair or picnic rug and some snacks to share.

See our ‘What’s On’ page for location times and details.

Discipleshift Conferences

We gather together with missionaries who are making disciples once a year for an explosive Disciple Makers Conference! These conferences are open to anyone who is passionate about making disciples.

We see in the Great Command that the greatest thing we can do is to love Him and one another. At our Missionary Conferences, we want to encounter and love Him together through extended times of worship, prophecy and prayer.

We also see in the Great Commission that we have been called to ‘go’ into the harvest and make disciples. As well as encountering Him, we want to continually grow and will spend time together being strategically equipped to be sharp and effective missionaries for the harvest.

When we partner as a strategic and equipped people with the intimacy of knowing His love and voice…there will be no stopping the spread of The Gospel in our nation and beyond!

How We Meet
Whether it be park hubs, micro churches or missionary conferences, our gatherings are open for every disciple maker. Check out the next slides to read about our different organisational structure and find out how you too can be a part of it.
